Empty LAX Airport
1:14 Yeah, I just had to make a video of this. This is so eerily empty. I've flown through LAX countless times at this point, and this is the emptiest that I've ever seen this airport. I went through TSA PreCheck and I was literally the only person there. There was nobody in front of me, nobody behind me at my checkpoint.
1:50 It was just so eerie. I don't really know how to put it into words. I've flown hundreds of times, and I have never been the only person going through security. Of course, me being 27 and 9/11 happening when I was eight years old, most of my flying has been post-9/11, where you do have more stringent security.
2:34 But yeah, just double-checking my itinerary here. Cool, so I am in the right direction. Yeah, you can see this is like super empty.
2:56 And if you can see from where you're at, I think you should be able to see all the cancellations. I mean, Albuquerque canceled, Chicago canceled, Dallas canceled, Denver canceled. All these flights, Honolulu getting canceled because Hawaii is implementing a mandatory quarantine for 14 days for all people coming in, regardless of where they're coming from.
3:21 So I assume all the airlines are taking that as a reason to cancel. But yeah, Vegas canceled, London, New York, Philly, Phoenix, Reno, Sacramento, SF, San Jose, St. Louis, Sydney, Australia. Yeah, tons of cancellations.
3:41 This is the weirdest. You can see there's nobody there. There is literally nobody coming or going.
4:26 It does look really cool, I will say. I'm getting to see a lot of things I didn't know. I'm usually in a hurry or trying to dodge people, trying to pay attention to where I'm going. This airport is so massive. I've been crazy focused.
4:46 I'm at my gate, and yeah, thanks for joining me in this weird, strange, empty version of LAX, like one of the busiest airports in the US, and it's like just super empty.
