Accessibility Statement

This statement applies to easterndreamer.com. Aegis Web Design LLC (operating as Eastern Dreamer) is committed to ensuring this website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.

What We Do

  • Provide text alternatives for non-decorative images where appropriate
  • Aim to ensure interactive elements are keyboard-navigable
  • Maintain sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds
  • Use semantic HTML to support screen readers
  • Include ARIA labels on interactive components where appropriate
  • Use a logical heading structure across every page

Assistive Technology

We test this site with keyboard-only navigation and aim for compatibility with common screen readers including NVDA on Windows and VoiceOver on macOS and iOS.

Tracking and Analytics Accessibility

This site uses Google Analytics 4 and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Our analytics scripts are passive and do not interfere with keyboard navigation, screen readers, or focus management. We aim to ensure tracked links include descriptive visible text so users with assistive technologies can understand what they are activating before clicking.

Ongoing Monitoring

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We regularly review pages against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria and revisit this statement at least annually. We are also monitoring the WCAG 2.2 guidelines as they become more widely adopted.

Third-Party Content

Some embedded third-party content, such as YouTube videos or external media, may not be fully within our control and may not meet WCAG 2.1 AA in every respect. We select the most accessible options available and apply accessible wrappers where possible.

Known Limitations

We are continually working to improve accessibility. While we strive to maintain accessibility, some pages or third-party content may occasionally present issues that have not yet been identified. If you encounter any barrier that prevents you from accessing content on this site, please let us know.

Report an Issue

If you experience any difficulty accessing content on this site, email us at moc.ngiseDbeWsigeA@cirE and describe the issue. We aim to respond typically within 48 hours and will make every reasonable effort to address the problem.
